Timothy Innamorato: born 1966 in Brooklyn N.Y.
An artist since the beginning,
NYC , Queens and Brooklyn was my classroom. I was always influenced by my surroundings, I was fascinated by the graffiti and structure of the city. I used this in my early drawing and sketches. These early explorations influenced my subject matter and style later in life.
I attended NYC Technical College, where I studied Art and Advertising Design. It was there that I won 2 place in the annual student exhibition , winning the Richild Von Holzbrink Award from The National Arts Club.
I also studied at the Arts Students league, were I applied myself in the study of anatomy, color and composition. It was during this time that surrealism made a big impression on me.
At the end of 2000 I moved to the Tampa Bay area with my wife and son. Working as a Muralist, and decorative painter, I earned a living while also painting commissioned art. Soon I had an addition to the family my daughter was born. I continued to work as a Decorative artist, while exhibiting my own personal work in galleries and Events.
As of 2025 I moved to Upstate N.Y. Finger Lakes region where I continue my painting. Now exploring my new surroundings and starting a new series of paintings based on central N.Y.
Today my painting style varies, I work on what is driving me at the moment, sometimes inspiration will give me a new Idea and I will go from there, working from sketch to painting.
I like to play with color and balance, while exploring my surrealist tendencies. Setting up the composition so that the eye follows a movement through the painting.
